A great day for all the Groms and a massive thanks to Lyndon Wake Surf School for the T-Shirts , West Country Surf Wax for the cool wax , and to Tundish , John Mandeville , Gary Clay for all your help , and to previous winner Storm Wall for beach marshalling, comparing , and presentation.

Octobers high light in the Surfing Calendar was The National Inter Clubs , held at Perranporth. The surf was pumping 3-4 ft all weekend.

There were heat wins for Jake Arrowsmith , Storm Wall , Katie Oakley and Will Bailey on day one , with respectable seconds in the Open for Steve Ley and Storm Wall , and a third for Freedom Wall and Team captain Beau Bromham ( even after loosing half his score for dropping in on his fellow competitor

) At the end of day one CSC were in a strong position, for day two.

A big night out at Perranporths "Watering Hole" , with free beer courtesy of "Korev", designed to scupper many a open surfers chances of a win , played out into the small hours.

The swell carried on through Sunday, along with a few hangovers.

The standard of surfing was excellent , the heat draws were tough , and with a depleted team (due to surfers away at the world games and a changing of the guard in the Open division) CSC managed a respectable 5th, with Newquay storming the win !

A huge thanks to all our team members for all they're effort , and to Surfing GB for a great event (see the video on SGBs web site), looking forward to taking the silverware from Newquay next year !

More contest results , social mayhem and chaos next month , so keep checking the website www.croydesurfclub.com for details.
