Off The Walls - September '15

September 1, 2015

September Sessions ? that Classic old (or not so old) movie , celebrated a time and places in any given year . September for Croyde Surfers means autumn swell , warm water , and hopefully plenty of waves .

Another highlight for this month is The National Inter clubs Surf Comp, taking place in Perranporth on 5th & 6th September . Croyde Surf Club are current Inter Club Champions and are off to defend the title . Anyone is welcome to join us there for a weekend of surfing , competition and celebration . Entertainment details can be found on the Surfing GB website . Please come along and support the UKs most successful Surf Club .

An update on CSC and it's accomplices activities over the last month .

Firstly well done to our Groms who took part in this years Atlantic Games in the Basque Country , a small team travelled taking part in multiple disciplines achieving places in quarter and semi finals , and of course a great time was had by all !

Secondly the Inter Pubs surf comp was run ( or staggered ) with teams from all the licenced watering holes of Croyde plus an insurgent team from over the hill. Points were awarded for fancy dress and pretty much anything the judges felt relevant or worthy .Things began to get pretty messy so all

contestants were corralled to Billy's for the results and more Korev . This years title was awarded to The Manor House Inn , whose team sailed to the finish on a huge inflatable SUP ( no fowl play there) and get to host the event next year . Thanks to John "Buzby" Foster for organising the event and

the sponsor Korev Lager.

Check out the CSC website for updates and for confirmation of Monday night Grom club starting back up . There's also information on how you can join historically , the most successful Surf Club in Britain !
