Sport Psychology, Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Workshop

All competing Croyde Surf Club members are invited to a workshop being held in Croyde Village Hall on Tuesday 17th August from 6.30pm to 9.30pm

Thanks to funding received from Sport England, the club have organised a Sport and Exercise Psychologist and Sports Nutrition lecturer to hold a workshop for some of the junior members of the club. Phil Johnson is a Chartered Sport and Exercise Psychologist who also lectures in nutrition and applied sport psychology at 6 universities. He works in 15 sports including football, swimming, gymnastics, modern pentathlon, equestrianism, tennis and rugby and at the workshop Phil will be turning his expertise to surfing.

Although aimed at the 16 to 18 year old surfers within the club this is a great opportunity for any competitive surfers to gain an insight into the factors that influence professional athletes and the links between psychology, nutrition and exercise to enhance performance.
