Monday Evening Sessions – Martin Purchase

Monday Night Grom Squad Kicks off Monday 23 April

2012 sees the continuation of our long running and popular Monday evening "Club Night" sessions at Downend. Martin will continue to run these with the help of parents and other volunteers. Members of all levels are welcome, from complete 8 year old beginners to seniors who want to come and hoot the groms into waves. There is a £1 sub per session to go into the kitty for buying kit etc. It has been agreed that funding will be sought for soft boards and a trailer to complement the existing kit so that club has the kit they need to run these sessions.

“We've been running these sessions for a number of years now and they are really popular, they give the juniors a chance to surf with friends and make new ones in a safe supervised way where they can push each other plus get tips from the lifeguard trained adult surfers in the water with them.”

Monday Night Grom Sessions will not run during the Summer Holidays, last session will be Monday 18th July and will restart  on the first Monday of school.
