About Croyde Surf Club

The idea of forming Croyde Surf Club was born in a car park, overlooking the beach in 1979. Original founding members Richard Carter, Keith West, Tim Barrow, Pete Oram and Terry Vietch came up with the idea of a club formed solely for the purpose of low key local competitions and a few social events. Twenty one years later Croyde Surf Club is still going strong

Amongst many achievements, the club has won the National Interclub Championships over ten times, and came second in the Nationals in 2004. The club is going from strength to strength and intend on taking a team to as many Euro contest as possible. We have regular social events and run surf competitions throughout the year.
